The
overall objective of this seminar is to
prepare workers for overseas assignments
as Project Managers and Team Leaders.
It is designed for people who need to
lead high performance, multicultural,
global project teams.
Best
Practices
In order for a team to function in a healthy and
productive way, certain base-line conditions must
exist: Strong leadership; effective communication;
mutual trust; mutual performance monitoring; back-up
behavior; adaptability and team orientation. We
have grouped these requirements into two training
areas (units): Leadership and Team Building. The
seminar introduces techniques to fulfill all of
these requirements.
Multicultural
Teams
For todayfs multicultural teams to function at
a high level, team members must have well developed
intercultural competencies which will allow them
to adapt to any multicultural situation . This
is not the same as memorizing a list of cultural
stereotypes for one culture and attempting to
superimpose these stereotypes on every individual
from the target culture, which is always risky
and leads to misunderstandings, frustration and
conflict . Our training provides learners with
portable skills for intercultural competence so
they can function effectively in any cultural
mix.
Whether you are an experienced manager
or recently promoted, there are many unique and
surprising challenges to working with a multicultural
team. The seminar introduces practical skills and
techniques to prepare for and handle those situations.
